IHE Kernel 2.0 Competition Overview

Target Audience:

• Grades 6-8 and 9-12

Event Description: The IHE Kernel 2.0 is an on-site team quiz competition designed to test participants’ IT skills. The competition will cover topics from cybersecurity to artificial intelligence, culminating in a rapid-fire round.

Event Dates:

• For Grades 6-8: July 29, 2024
• For Grades 9-12: July 30, 2024

Mode of Conduct:

• Offline

Competition Rounds:

1. General Awareness:
   • Tests participants’ knowledge of IT and tech terms.
   • Each correct response awards 10 points.
   • If a team fails to answer, the question passes to the next team in order.
2. AI Trivia (Grades 9-12):
   • Teams compete to showcase their knowledge about artificial intelligence.Cybersecurity Round (Grades 6-8):
     • Tests students’ awareness of cybersecurity.
     • Each team is asked two questions, with questions passed to the next team if unanswered.
3. Guess the Famous IT Personality:
   • Images of famous IT personalities are shown.
   • The first team to guess correctly wins 10 points.
4. Rapid Fire:
   • Each team has 90 seconds to answer as many questions as possible.
   • Each correct answer awards 5 points.
5. Cybersecurity Round (Grades 6-8):
   • Tests students’ awareness of cybersecurity.
   • Each team is asked two questions, with questions passed to the next team if unanswered.
